The group “Brasil In Trio” was formed in 2007, comprised by three musicians who happen to be Everton Luiz (saxophone and flute), Diego Amaral (percussion) and Julio Lemos (7-string guitar). The Trio presents a traditional work regarding brazilian’s popular music but spices it up with modern and innovative aspects without breaking away from tradition.

The group was one of the founders of the Brazilian instrumental music in Goiânia in the project called “Goiânia Revives the Choro”. The members had the honor of being in stage with important Brazilian musicians such as Zé da Velha, Nelson Faria, Toninho Horta, Leila Pinheiro, Joel Nascimento, Gabriel Grossi, Hamilton de Holanda, Fernando César among others.  The group has already given concerts in Goiânia during congresses and music festivals that took place at the Federal University of Goiás, among which we can mention the project Music on Campus, in 2010, performing in the opening of Hamilton de Holanda’s concert and in the same year during the opening ceremony of FICA (Festival Internacional de Cinema Ambiental) in 2010 and in 2013 during Tereza Cristina’s concert. We can also mention concerts at the Social Service of Commerce at SESC’s projects on instrumental music in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and also at Goiás’ project called “Vozes” in 2012.

The members of the band “Brasil in Trio” are graduates in music at the Federal University of Goiás. Julio Lemos and Everton Luiz have also earned their master’s degree in music at the same University. The members of the group also work as soloists in others music groups that perform either in Brazil or internationally. Diego Amaral, for example,  went on a tour with the violinist Yamandu Costa in 2007 and Julio Lemos went on a tour as a soloist in Europe.

The three musicians are also music teachers at the Federal University of Goiás. The guitar player Julio Lemos is a teacher at EMAC-UFG (School of Music and Performing Arts of the Federal University of Goiás). The percussionist Diego Amaral is a teacher of percussion at FEF-UFG (Department of Physical Education and Dance Faculty at the Federal University of Goiás). The flautist Everton Luiz is a teacher at EMAC-UFG (School of Music and Performing Arts of the Federal University of Goiás).

Brasil in Trio has released their first album this year, named “Brasil in Trio Interprets Alessandro Branco” and his unpublished work wich consists of a diversity of rhythms such as Choro, Samba, Maxixe, Maracatu, Baião among others.
